Shopify B2B Features

Everything wholesale and business sales requires — native in Shopify.

Shopify has built the B2B features from the ground up — not separate apps that need to talk to each other, but one coherent platform for all your business customers.

Company Accounts

Business buyers log in with a company account. Multiple users per company, with their own roles and permissions. Shopify manages the relationship centrally — no manual activation per buyer required.

Personalised Price Lists

Set unique prices per company or customer group — fixed prices, percentage discounts or volume pricing per product or collection. Buyers automatically see their own rates after logging in.

Net Payment Terms

Let business buyers pay on account — net 30, 60 or 90 days. Shopify manages the payment terms and outstanding balances directly within the platform, without external invoicing tools.

Product Catalogues per Customer

Show per company account only the products available to them. Ideal for exclusive assortments, white-label products or customer-specific product lines.

Minimum Order Quantities & Packing Units

Set a minimum order quantity (MOQ) and packing unit per product. Buyers can only order quantities that comply with your terms — automatically enforced at checkout.

Self-Service Portal

B2B buyers manage their own account: place orders, view order history, download invoices and update company details — without your team having to perform every action manually.

ERP & PIM Integrations

Connect Shopify B2B to your existing ERP (Exact, AFAS, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) or PIM. Stock, prices and customer data synchronised in real time — no more double data entry.

VAT Exemptions

Configure VAT exemptions per company or region. Intra-community B2B transactions are automatically exempted upon entry of a valid VAT number — EU-compliant.

Shopify Plus vs. Regular Shopify

Which plan fits your B2B situation?

The full B2B suite from Shopify is exclusive to Shopify Plus. For smaller wholesale operations, regular Shopify with the right apps may suffice.

Our approach

From strategy to live B2B portal —
step by step.

A successful Shopify B2B implementation requires more than technology. We combine B2B process knowledge with Shopify expertise for a result that your team and your customers immediately understand.

01

Intake & discovery

We map your existing customer structure, assortment and pricing policy. Which ERP/PIM systems do you use? What are the payment agreements per customer group? Based on this we determine the right Shopify plan and architecture.

02

Platform & architecture

We advise Shopify Plus or regular Shopify + apps, depending on your size and objectives. We define the company structure, catalogue setup and integration architecture (ERP, PIM, accounting).

03

Design & development

We build a conversion-focused B2B storefront with professional design. Account dashboards, order lists, price overviews — everything tailored to the business buyer, not the consumer.

04

Integrations & data import

We connect Shopify to your ERP, PIM or accounting package. Existing customer data, products and pricing agreements are imported — so you go live on day one with the right data.

05

Training & launch

Your team receives personal training in managing company accounts, price lists and orders. We launch in phases and provide direct support after go-live.

06

Growth & optimisation

After launch we monitor your B2B portal. We analyse order data, add new customer groups and optimise your reorder flow and average order value.

Frequently asked questions

Everything about Shopify B2B.

  • Do I need Shopify Plus for B2B?

The full Shopify B2B suite — company accounts, personalised price lists, net payment terms and the self-service portal — is exclusive to Shopify Plus (from approx. €2,300/month). On regular Shopify plans you can set up basic wholesale using apps (such as Wholesale Club or B2B Wholesale App), but this has limitations in scalability and integrations. We advise you on which plan fits your revenue targets.

  • Can I combine B2B and B2C in one Shopify store?

Yes. With Shopify Plus you can run one store for both consumers and business customers. B2B buyers log in with a company account and automatically see their own prices, payment terms and catalogue — while B2C customers see the regular store. No need for two separate shops.

  • What are net payment terms in Shopify B2B?

Net payment terms are credit terms where B2B buyers pay after delivery — for example net 30 or net 60 days. Shopify Plus manages this directly within the platform: the buyer places the order, you invoice afterwards. No external invoicing tools or manual tracking required.

  • How do personalised price lists work in Shopify B2B?

Per company account or customer group you set up a separate price list in Shopify. You can set fixed prices or percentage discounts per product or collection. After logging in, the buyer automatically sees their own price — including in the catalogue, search results and checkout.

  • Can I also set minimum order quantities and packing units?

Yes. With Shopify B2B you can set minimum order quantities (MOQ) and packing units (quantity rules) per product per customer or customer group. This prevents business buyers from ordering less than the minimum quantity.

  • What does building a Shopify B2B store cost?

A Shopify B2B implementation on regular Shopify (with apps) starts from €2,500. A full Shopify Plus B2B setup — including company accounts, price lists, portal and integrations with ERP or PIM — starts around €8,000–€15,000. We always give a fixed price after the intake conversation.
